Tiffany Studios had its own foundry and metal shop and made what was known as "Fancy Goods". Hundreds if individual pieces were also made, such as candlesticks, trays, paperweights, boxes and special order inkwells.
Enamels and pottery made by Tiffany Studios are among the finest ever made and examples can be found in many museums. The emphasis in Tiffany's pottery is often the shapes of uncultivated plants, weeds, cattails, mushrooms and seed pods. Vases ussually have muted glazes quite unlike the bright glory of Tiffany glass flowers. Bronze pottery was all-metal surface applied instead of a glaze and relatively few bronze pottery pieces were made.
Team Antiques offers through "Team's Tiffany Treasures" many examples of each of the "Fancy Goods". For a complementary copy call Team Antiques at 914-686-8147 or log on to the catalog request page for instructions.
