The Abalone desk set pattern was introduced about 1910, and was the sixth of the more than twenty patterns that were ultimately available. It was produced in a shiny gilt or muted gold-dore finish. This Abalone Humidor Box has retained its orginal gold dore finish. The inside of the box is lined with cedar wood. The underside of the box is inscribed: TIFFANY STUDIOS/NEW YORK/1150. Height: 2-1/2". Width: 6-3/4". Depth: 4-3/4".
