Tiffany Studios Fern Mirror
Tiffany Studios Fern Mirror
The term "Fancy Goods" was introduced by TIffany Studios to cover a variety of household items that were produced between 1900 and 1919. Several mirror styles were introduced, the Fern Mirror being the largest and displaying elaborately articulated metalwork. This example has the original mirror glass, with some minor oxidation at edges reflecting its age. The patinated bronze finish on the surface is brown, while a green patina is in the recesses, giving clarity to the detailed metalwork . The back of the mirror is stamped: TIFFANY STUDIOS/NEW YORK/900. Height: 21".
