Calendar frames were and remain a popular addition to any desk set. The Adam pattern is unique among the Tiffany Studios patterns, with its references to the neoclassical elements of Georgian design. It features wreaths, bows and swirling ribbons, rosettes, and fluting. While the brochures at the time described the design as "chaste", it is elaborately decorated and has few blank surfaces. The original price list described the set as having "exquisite workmanship and delicacy of detail ". The pattern was produced in gilded bronze, this calendar frame has a dull finish, and is shown with the day and month perpetual insert cards. Stamped: TIFFANY STUDIOS/NEW YORK/1782.
