A matched pair of Tiffany Studios gilt-bronze bookends in the Ninth Century Pattern. This pattern is distinguished by its square and rectanlinear shapes that include deep intaglio designs of bushy-tailed animals resembling squirrels. Blue and green cabachons are embedded into the border design. The domed profile distinguishes these bookends from other Tiffany Studios bookends. Stamped: TIFFANY STUDIOS/NEW YORK/1617. Height: 6".
