Tiffany Glazed Favrile Pottery

Tiffany Favrile Glazed Pottery

Description

Tiffany Studios Favrile Pottery was one of the later mediums explored by Louis TIffany. It remained a small department of the Company, and relatively few items - some estimates are 1500 - were produced.  Tiffany Furnaces produced the pottery line at the Corona, Queens factory, from 1904-1914. These two vases were made from molded castings, and glazed both inside and outside.  The earthtone colors are typical of those favored by Tiffany.  The left vase is inscribed with the LCT monogram, and is 3"H.  The right vase is also inscribed with the LCT monogram, and is 5-1/4"H.
