This desk lamp is a combination of "turtleback" glass tiles, green glass cabachons and a richly embelished patinated bronze. The turtlebacks are made of pressed glass with a highly irregular and irridescent suface. The base has a leaf design, and the shade has a stylized medieval pattern of rounded nail heads. The shade pivots on the base, and the turtleback tiles are lined with milk glass. Circa: 1900-1910. Stamped: TIFFANY STUDIOS/NEW YORK/408. Height: 14-1/2".
